At Glen Caring, we are committed to the highest standards of care and supporting our care teams in the community.
Working in social care offers rewarding and satisfying job opportunities for you and plays a big role in our families and communities. Â Working as a carer can offer more family-friendly working arrangements. This suits many people with family responsibilities, who need the flexibility that a 9 to 5 job does not offer.
Social care helps people stay in their own home for as long as possible, supported with dignity by those who care. Carers enable clients to enjoy an improved quality of life. This helps them to live as independently as possible in the community they know and love.
The most important thing about working in social care is to have a caring nature. You can learn everything else on the job, with our range of training courses, events and certification.
At Glen Caring, we are committed to the highest standards of care and supporting our care teams in the community. For over 25 years, we have offered care in the home services across the Omagh, Strabane, Derry-Londonderry, Coleraine, Ballymena and Ballymoney regions. You can find out more About Us here.
We offer flexible rota arrangements, and a range of other benefits including:
Our team love working in a job that makes a difference, and where they can bring such happiness into peopleâs lives. Itâs all about the âsmile that you can put on somebody’s face,â says carer, Lorraine Brandon.
âI started with Glen Caring over a year and half ago, mainly as it fitted around my other commitments,â says Jane. â Since then, I have discovered how rewarding this job actually is! Especially in the middle of this pandemic. Along with the care we offer, our visits alone can lift an otherwise long day for some of our clients.â
âI work for Glen Caring because their reputation for quality of care is second to none,â says Alison. âAnd my Mum received first-class care from them in her final years.â
Zenda Elliot says she gets great job satisfaction as a carer. For her, itâs about âknowing that you are helping vulnerable clients stay in their own homes in familiar surroundings.â
Kim Beattie says Glen Caring âis a great company to work for, we have a great team of staff and a great support network.â
âIt’s nice to know we are doing some good especially at these hard times,â says Emma. âAll our clients are so very grateful for everything we do and are constantly thanking us which is just lovely. When you love what you do it doesn’t feel like a job anymore!â
