The Springlawn Group of Care Homes – Glen Caring’s sister organisation – was established in 1988 with a vision in mind. We wanted to create a friendly, welcoming and person-centred environment, where clients could feel at home at all times. The ultimate aim was to avoid having an institutional or clinical feel to our homes. So today, all of our homes boast beautifully kept bedrooms and living areas. We also offer tidy, spacious exterior gardens and courtyards which are accessible to all residents. Our homes provide the highest standards of nursing, residential and dementia care in a pleasant and welcoming environment. And clients are at the centre of their care, choosing their own care plans to make sure they get what they need, the way that they need it.

Springlawn House is 39-bedroom care home which offers full nursing care, according to our clients’ needs. We have respite and step-down facilities for our short-term care residents. Our highly qualified staff at Springlawn House have been providing care since establishment in 1990.

From the latest post-operative recovery facilities to compassionate end-of-life care and short-term respite care, we are equipped to look after individuals with wide-ranging needs.

We’re in a great location close to local shops, cafes and amenities. Our mini bus can be used to take the clients out on day trips. Residents regularly go out for coffee and go shopping.

Our activity therapists plan a variety of interesting programmes including card games, arts and crafts, entertainment, and trips to enhance our residents’ quality of life.

Opened in 2009, Hillcrest Care Home is the newest addition to the Springlawn Group. It is a private nursing home with 59 single rooms. All of these rooms are modern in décor and have WiFi and television points.

It’s centrally located on the Old Mountfield Road in Omagh the home is close to local amenities and shops. Like all of the Springlawn Group care homes, Hillcrest boasts fantastic care facilities and a wonderful, homely feeling the minute you step through the door.

Outside there is a courtyard and a garden to enjoy where residents can plant fruit and vegetables and attend to the raised flower beds.

Various sitting rooms and quiet areas are located throughout the building and a beverage room is available for residents and their visitors to enjoy.

HILLSIDE RESIDENTIAL

CARE FACILITY

Opened in 1992, Hillside Residential is a specialist mental health facility. It consists of 13 single rooms with WiFi connection and television points. At Hillside Residential, the care is provided by professional staff who encourage and promote the independence of all residents. The facility is in a picturesque setting, close to Omagh Leisure Centre and local amenities, with town services bus stops just outside.

The residents have their own dining room and a fully fitted kitchen where they can bake and cook for themselves. An activities therapist is on hand to enhance the quality of life for these residents. As well as this, we regularly run trips to entertainment and music events, and supervised weekly shopping trips to the supermarket.

Registered for a maximum of 13 Service Users.

HILLCREST RESIDENTIAL

DEMENTIA FACILITY

Because we have so much experience in elderly care, we understand all too well the need for quality dementia care in Omagh. Opened in 2009, Hillcrest Residential Dementia Facility is the newest addition to Springlawn Nursing Group. This specialist dementia care unit features 17 large en suite bedrooms on the ground floor with WiFi connection and television points.

This small and secure unit includes a cosy kitchen where clients can bake and gather for tea and a chat. It also has an enclosed garden, and clients can tend the fruit, vegetables and flowers in the raised beds. Or they can simply sit and enjoy the environment.

As part of our dementia care philosophy, residents are surrounded by picture and objects from their past. Our dedicated activity therapist encourages residents to take part in various activities like bowls, arts and crafts, flower arranging. Our therapist also loves to take the residents out on day trips to Omagh and surrounding villages.
